So, I'm cleaning up my file before mail-merging and I have a lot of results that include "50" in the names. I can't find a precise definition as to what this is but I'm guessing it's referring to an LLC?
Thanks for the info. If it's coming from DataTree, could you ask them what they mean? I think there tokens for like "Estate of" or "Trust" but I'm not sure because other results do include those terms instead of the number. Or could it be that it stands for those terms IF the number of characters in the field goes above X?
I'd like to know because then I could do a simple search and replace in Excel whereas I can't right now because if I just try to search and replace it with nothing, the field doesn't make sense.
I appreciate the credits and I submitted the request like you said.
I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong. Do you have any idea why I'm getting the results with "50" and "34"? Do you have a copy of the results before the system automatically formats them? If so, I could compare the before and after to figure out what is getting formatted wrong.
Additionally, I discovered that there are numerous results that have "Est of" that do not have a "50" or "34".
The unformatted raw data can be found on the .zip file we emailed to you! It will be in the Admin folder titled "DataTree Export - Raw.csv". This is the raw property data we receive from DataTree prior to doing any formatting or pricing on it.
We took at look at this data already, and it seems like the "50" or "34" were already appended to the owner names when we received them. If you find anything different or notice a pattern with these records, please let us know! We can always include logic in our formatting to account for cases like this so it doesn't happen in the future!
We do have access to your files on our server, so we are able to view the data ourselves! The reason the names are reversed is because our name formatter was unable to process those names with the "-50". They usually come in reversed, and we do a lot of work to format them the correct way.
I'm sorry to hear there were also additional results that had numeric endings. What we can do is credit you for all of these records so that you are not losing money on these odd owner names. If you wouldn't mind reaching out via our Support page (at the bottom) and let us know approximately how many records were affected, we will be able to handle this ASAP!
Because I filtered out all of the results without "50", you couldn't see that 95%+ of those that are listed by name are correct and do not have the "50".
And those that have the "50" seem to have the First Name and Last Name reversed.
Finally, they were in all five of the files that I downloaded -- even the Preview file. I tried to attach the original zip files so you can see everything including what I scrubbed but the forum system won't let me. So I'm sharing the via WeTransfer: https://we.tl/t-YgGXI2qCPD
It's so weird that you haven't seen anything like this and it's only happening to me... just my luck.
To be perfectly honest with you, we have not seen something like this before. I'm not totally sure why there is a 50 appended to each owner name. It may be an LLC, but it seems like there is randomly the number 50 after individual owners. I would recommend removing this, as I don't think it's providing any meaning to the owner names.

It does. Mystery solved.
Thanks! I reached out to them too today, but I figure that since you're their client, you might have better luck.
Hi Ed,
We can absolutely reach out to DataTree and see what these numbers mean! We can let you know once we receive an answer back from them.

There's also about 20 results across all of those files that end in "34"
